Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026 · Last updated: October 14, 2026

This policy explains how Mountain Lion Digital ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit mountainliondigital.com (the "Site") or contact us. It covers the Site and our direct communications with you. It does not cover the systems we build and run for our business clients, where the client decides how its customers' data is used.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on the Site, we collect what you type:

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. If we turn on analytics, see section 5.

We don't knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we never ask for passwords, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers through the Site.

2. How we use information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

3. Text messages (SMS) and calls

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers (such as our messaging provider) that help us deliver messages.

4. Who processes your information

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

ProviderWhat it doesData involved
FormSubmit (formsubmit.co)Delivers form submissions from the Site to our email inboxEverything you type into a form
Our email providerReceives and stores the emails we get from you and from the formsForm contents, email messages
Our phone/texting providerCarries our calls and text messagesPhone number, message contents
Umami (if enabled; see section 5)Cookieless, aggregate website analyticsAnonymous usage data, no names or contact details
Our website hostServes the SiteTechnical request logs

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply).

5. Analytics and cookies

We plan to use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal information. It counts things like page views, referring sites, device type, country, and clicks on buttons such as "Get my free audit" or "Call," in aggregate. It doesn't track you across other websites. The Site itself doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, we'll update this policy first.

Because we don't track you across sites, we treat browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing, which we don't do anyway.

6. How long we keep information

7. Your choices and rights

Anyone can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about them, or to stop contacting them. Email info@mountainliondigital.com or call (805) 232-7807.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you have the right to:

In the past 12 months, the categories we collected were identifiers (name, phone, email), commercial/professional information (business name, type of work, location), and internet activity (aggregate analytics and server logs). We collected them from you directly and from your device, and disclosed them only to the service providers listed above for business purposes.

To make a request, email info@mountainliondigital.com or call (805) 232-7807. We'll verify your request by matching information you've already given us, and we'll respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). You can use an authorized agent with your written permission. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you can also ask whether we've shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing; we haven't.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting who can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information like passwords or card numbers through our forms.

9. Children

The Site isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
